We pursue outward-facing, lasting places that reflect the diversity and character of their communities. We extend this philosophy beyond our work through mentoring, work experience and university collaborations, supporting the next generation and communicating the wider role architects play in shaping our built environment.

Social Value

We believe the social value of architecture is created through the quality and longevity of the places it shapes. By designing sustainable, inclusive and characterful buildings and public spaces, we support health and wellbeing, encourage social interaction and create places that people value and enjoy over time. Social value is not something added to a project; it emerges from the cumulative effect of many thoughtful design decisions and from the way we work. The greatest long-term benefit often comes not from isolated interventions, but from creating resilient places that can adapt to changing needs and continue to contribute positively to their communities.

Social value extends to the way we practise. We place great importance on the wellbeing and development of our staff. We also support mentoring, work experience, educational engagement and charitable initiatives that help broaden access to architecture and the built environment.

We aspire to create a practice that reflects the diversity of the communities we design for. Through our Diversity Action Plan, we are committed to fostering an inclusive studio culture and actively encourage collaboration with a broad range of clients, consultants and practices, helping to promote architecture as a profession open to all.
