Deptford Bridge Planning Submission

Our Deptford Bridge project has now been jointly submitted to London Borough of Lewisham and Royal Borough of Greenwich.

The scheme takes an expressive and celebratory approach to architecture and landscape, responding to the site’s unique multi-level setting at the historic junction of Deptford Bridge. It will deliver around 900 much-needed new homes across both boroughs and, for the first time in decades, return Deptford Creek to public access at this location.

Pedestrianised streets and quaysides will be animated by workspace, education uses, shops, cafés and restaurants, all supported by a significantly enhanced landscape strategy. Over 50% of the site is dedicated to publicly accessible open space, with more than 200 new trees proposed across the development.

Straddling two boroughs across a dividing waterway, the project is shaped by close collaboration with both authorities. This is reflected in a cohesive architectural language that brings the scheme together as one, while still allowing for distinct identities — an approach we describe as ‘Islands on Islands’.

With the scheme now out for statutory consultation, we welcome continued collaboration with both boroughs and local stakeholders.
