First Way UCFB College & Campus featured in Show House magazine
In ‘Bright Young Thing’, Roger Hunt’s modular construction feature in the latest edition of Show House Magazine, Maribel Mantecon discusses our design for First Way UCFB College & Campus in Wembley and how student residential is particularly suited to a volumetric construction system:
“The repetitive nature of the rooms, of similar layout, built offsite in a controlled environment, works well; arriving onsite complete with furniture and finishes. The challenge for wider residential projects is the desire for more interesting design that will still allow for use of efficient modular construction. There is less flexibility and modular requires very careful initial planning: everything needs to be done very early, we need to change the way we tender and design projects and think of the project team when decisions are made.” Read full article.
