Margate Day Trip
CZWG Enjoy a Day Out in Margate
The team have been working hard and by popular demand, chose to take a day trip to Margate for some serious rest and relaxation.
Joining a huge throng of day-trippers and holiday-makers at St Pancras International on the last Wednesday in August, we couldn’t have asked for better weather for a day at the seaside.
Refreshments for the journey and a challenging quiz were compiled by Alex, who deserves a big thank you for organising the day so well. An initial visit to the beach - the most egalitarian and democratic of places, was followed by a swim in the sea for some intrepid directors and for others, the chance to dunk some pennies in the amusement arcade slot machines.
After a delicious meal at the Pearly Cow and keen to make the most of the amazing weather, we all retired to the roof top bar and then enjoyed the fine architecture of the Turner Contemporary - whilst paddling in the incoming tide. Make hay whilst the sun shines, we say.
A magnificent sunset concluded a magnificent day.
It’s back to work now, but we’re all feeling the benefit of a relaxing day out together.
