New Associates for CZWG

CZWG are delighted to announce that we have made Kevin Wang and Richard Buckley associates, in recognition of their significant contribution to the practice over many years.

As CZWG’s IT Manager, Richard is our first non-architect to be made an associate. Apart from a short period away from the practice in 2006, Richard has been providing vital assistance to CZWG since 2004. To describe Richard as our IT Manager is to ignore his multiple skills and the range of vital processes to which he turns his hand.

Richard began his career in Architecture directly from school and was originally employed as a junior architectural technician. He subsequently moved into the emerging world of IT and became a CAD manager at the tender age of nineteen. He joined CZWG as our CAD and IT Manager and gradually expanded his roles to include everything from 3D visualisation to photography. He now also takes on BIM management tasks and assists with project delivery. One way or another, Richard will have been involved in more projects within the office than any other individual in the practice.

Kevin joined CZWG in 2015, following early career experiences in New Zealand, Taiwan and the United States. His associateship recognises his professional status as a fully qualified UK architect, the contributions he has made to many projects (including Dorchester, Cross Harbour, Northstowe Community Centre, Roots Hall and Fossett Farm in Southend-on-Sea) and his involvement with CZWG’s sustainability group and public-facing events such as LFA. Kevin has also been instrumental in running our work experience and mentoring programmes. These have been extremely successful, leading to a collaboration with the Design Museum’s young person’s work experience programme, culminating in the production of a toolkit to be published by the Design Museum in the New Year. With a clear head and keen eye for detail, Kevin’s work at CZWG is always much appreciated.

Thank you, Kevin and Richard, for your valuable contributions.
