Six CZWG Postmodern buildings Heritage Listed
Six buildings by CZWG are among the 24 postmodern buildings listed by preservation body Historic England in a bid to “stem losses of this important style of architecture”.
Aztec West in Gloucestershire; Cascades on the Isle of Dogs, Limehouse, London; the CDT Building at Bryanston School, Dorset; China Wharf in Southwark, London; The Circle in Bermondsey, London; and Janet Street-Porter House (44 Britton Street) in Clerkenwell, London were new additions to the National Heritage List of England this year.
An exhibition devoted to postmodernism opens at the Sir John Soane's Museum in London from 16 May 2018. ‘The Return of the Past: Postmodernism in British Architecture’ will explore key projects by the architects that formed the cornerstones to the movement, including Terry Farrell, CZWG, Jeremy and Fenella Dixon, John Outram, Edward Jones and James Stirling.
