Although we're situated right on a main road, traffic noise is non-existent thanks to the impressive sound proofing of the window and door frames. Additionally, a private green space for residents offers a lovely escape right on the doorstep without any hassle. The design skill poured into the flat is immediately evident. Someone has really thought about what someone needs in an apartment to maximise their living space and has made it work cohesively. Really impressive and highly recommended.

Rathbone Market is a joint venture between developer English Cities Fund (The Homes and Communities Agency, Legal and General and Muse Developments), the London Borough of Newham as developing partner and Notting Hill Housing Group as affordable housing body.

Located on a triangular site in Canning Town between Barking Road and Newham Way (A13), Phase 1 of Rathbone Market, Vermilion, provides 271 new homes.

The development is leading the regeneration of the local area and includes an eco-garden with a green wall to deflect noise and pollution from the adjacent A13, 12 rooftop allotments for residents and 2,000m² of commercial space.

The layout of the development is composed of three adjoining blocks, one of which has penthouse apartments that offer stunning panoramic views towards the Millennium Dome, Canary Wharf and The City. The whole of the scheme is ‘wrapped’ in bands of differing shades of vibrant reds.
