Adam has a particular interest in the environment and sustainability. He is committed to providing high calibre architecture and thrives on resolving the ambitions of the client with the complexities of sustainable development and a given site. Adam is a director in the core management team focusing on design and leading CZWG’s response to the Climate and Biodiversity Emergency.
Throughout his career at CZWG, Adam has been involved in the design and running of many of the studio’s major projects for a range of clients from housing associations to major developers and individual entrepreneurs. He was in charge of the initial Arsenal Football Club developments totalling over 1,600 residential units and 34,000m² of mixed-use commercial accommodation. He was responsible for the highly successful implementation of VizioN7, 487 homes and 6340m² commercial, within the masterplan.
Adam designed and led CZWG’s delivery of Aurelia Rathbone Market, the pivotal 165-unit second phase of a flagship mixed-use development in Canning Town, Newham for English Cities Fund and, at the heart of Southampton’s Cultural Quarter, the Studio 144 commercial, residential and arts complex. Working for Redrow, he secured planning permission for 200 homes at Barton Park, Oxford, a new garden city suburb and Healthy New Town created by Grosvenor and Oxford City Council. Adam oversaw CZWG’s design and delivery of Oaklands, over 240 affordable and 360 PRS homes for Notting Hill Genesis / QPR FC, the first major development to be approved by the Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation (OPDC). Other projects include a residential /industrial co-location development in Hackney, a new railway station and residential development in the London Borough of Merton and residential and student housing proposals in the London Boroughs of Camden and Tower Hamlets. A s73 application successfully rationalised a mixed-use scheme and added >10% (59) new homes in Lewisham for London Square. Adam designed the highly sustainable community centre for the new town of Northstowe, Cambridgeshire, which is now complete and winning awards.
Adam joined CZWG in 1995. He studied architecture at Bath University and gained Part II and Part III qualifications with Distinction at the University of Westminster.
