Conor’s experience reflects the diversity of projects, across scales, contexts, uses, and stages, in which CZWG have been involved since he joined in 2022.
He played an instrumental role in the redesign of the Leegate Centre in Lewisham, a London Square development comprising 620 homes and 2,785m² of commercial space which, following an intensive pre-application process, secured Section 73 planning approval. The scheme rigorously reworked an extant consent to meet to the latest fire regulations while also strengthening the project’s viability, giving Conor invaluable experience of the design requirements for higher-risk buildings at planning stage. More recently, Conor has led the design development for the adjacent Leegate garages site, a new scheme of five townhouses which completes London Square’s Leegate Centre masterplan.
Prior to this, he played a key role in the design of Northstowe Community Centre, an exemplary sustainable civic building shaped by meaningful community engagement. As BIM lead on this project, Conor exemplified CZWG’s Revit capabilities both in aiding the spatial coordination of the design within the consultant team, and in the production of visualisations and walkthroughs to help maximise client and stakeholder input throughout the design process.
Conor is particularly interested in architecture’s inherent sociability, in how inventive pragmatism can result in generous, community-making spaces. He worked as an architectural assistant in Melbourne, Australia, before completing his Bachelor of Architecture (Part II equivalent) at Technological University Dublin and has since gained his Part III accreditation from the Architectural Association.
