David Donachie

David is a Director and part of CZWG's core management team, focusing on quality management and technical delivery. He has worked on numerous construction stage projects for residential, commercial and mixed-used developments and understands the importance of programme and package delivery as well as having technical expertise in construction methods, specification and detailing.
He has most recently been managing a number of projects both pre-construction and on-site. These include 99 social rent apartments and 11 houses at Sydenham Hill with Lovell London, Chapel Place in Ilford on behalf of Telford homes, Colindale Gardens for Redrow Homes, a 130 home scheme in Tottenham Hale for United Living and Argent, and 16 buildings (four retained and two listed) on the Jewellery Quarter development in Birmingham for Galliard.
David's recently completed projects include overseeing the construction of the award winning Islington Square, the £370m mixed-use development that sits behind the retained facade of the former Edwardian North London Royal Mail Sorting Office, Islington. David also led the delivery of Queensland Terrace and QN7, a residential-led regeneration development and the last piece of the Arsenal ‘On the Move’ residential masterplan, and was subsequently invited by the client to deliver Wembley Park Gate, 211 new homes adjacent the stadium in the London Borough of Brent. David was also Project Architect for the Miller Building, a £7 million 5,100m² office building in Edinburgh, Queen Elizabeth Square, a £12 million housing development in Glasgow, and the striking ‘Bling Bling’ office and retail building in Liverpool City Centre.
David's strengths lie in his technical knowledge, detailed design and delivery experience, and the open and reliable approach to communicating with clients and contractors. He also takes a leading role in the practice’s approach to our internal knowledge transfer on projects post-completion. David studied architecture at South Bank University and the University of Westminster.
