David Donachie

David is a director in CZWG's management team, focusing on quality management and technical delivery. He has worked on numerous working drawing packages for residential, commercial and mixed-used developments and understands the importance of programme and package delivery as well as having technical expertise in construction methods, specification and detailing.

He is currently managing a number of projects on site, including Colindale Gardens on behalf of Redrow Homes, 130 home in Tottenham Hale for United Living and Argent, and 16 buildings (four retained and two listed) on the Jewellery Quarter development in Birmingham for Galliard.

David led the construction of Islington Square, the £370m mixed-use development that sits behind the retained façade of the former Edwardian North London Royal Mail Sorting Office, Islington and Queensland Terrace and QN7, a residential-led regeneration development and the latest piece of the Arsenal ‘On the Move’ residential masterplan. CZWG were subsequently invited by the client to deliver Wembley Park Gate, 211 new homes adjacent the stadium in the London Borough of Brent. David was also Project Architect for the Miller Building, a £7 million 5,100m² office building in Edinburgh, Queen Elizabeth Square, a £12 million housing development in Glasgow, and the striking ‘Bling Bling’ office and retail building in Liverpool City Centre.

David's strengths lie in his technical knowledge, detailed design and delivery experience, and the ­open and reliable approach to communicating with clients and contractors. He also takes a leading role in the practice’s approach to our internal knowledge transfer on projects post-completion. David studied architecture at South Bank University and the University of Westminster.
