Eleanor Cranke
Architect

BA(Hons) | MArch | DipArch | RIBA

Eleanor has worked across a variety of work stages and projects in the studio. She assisted the early design development of Canfield Place, a row of mews houses in Camden, and Homerton - a mixed residential/industrial development in east London. She has built up valuable on-site experience delivering RIBA stages 4 and 5 of the residential scheme Lyon Square and Welbourne, Tottenham Hale. Working on the major mixed-use development Islington Square, she liaised closely with the client and tenants to develop many of the commercial units, including the Grade II Listed former Post Office on Upper Street. Eleanor is currently working on the construction phase of Colindale Gardens.

Eleanor was drawn to architecture’s innate ability to engage people from all backgrounds and is intrigued by the space between art and architecture. In 2017, Eleanor won an art grant and led a successful crowd funding campaign and 20-person project team to design and build an interactive lighting project 'Celestial Field' at the Burning Man Festival, Nevada USA.

Eleanor is involved in many of CZWG's social initiatives, and runs our annual bake-off to raise money for charities including the National Brain Appeal, Mind and Architects Benevolent Society. Eleanor studied architecture at Northumbria University, completed her masters at the University of Westminster and her Part III at the RIBA.
