John Anderson
Non-Executive Director

FRICS

John is a Fellow of the RICS with over fifty years' experience in development and regeneration. He joined CZWG in 2021 as an independent Non-Executive Director to use his client-side experience to help the practice to track emerging market trends.

In his twenty-year tenure as Regional Chairman of FTSE 100 property developer The Berkeley Group, he was responsible for Royal Arsenal Riverside, Woolwich and Kidbrooke Village, Greenwich, two of the largest regeneration projects in the country. John has worked closely with CZWG for many years. He appointed CZWG to revise a 7 hectare site of the acclaimed Kidbrooke Village development (the Meridian Gate masterplan) and worked closely with the practice on the design of Phases 4 and 5 of the scheme, amounting to planning approval for over 1,500 homes, with 480 built to date. As a client, John was our strongest advocate for quality of design. He has a passion for place making and understands the social and economic value of a well-designed neighbourhood.

John is currently Chair of Curtin & Co, a specialist consultancy in planning politics and community development, a Non-Executive Director on the board of Sixty Bricks, the London Borough of Waltham Forest housing provider of private and shared ownership tenures, and a Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Development Committee at Platform Housing Group, an affordable housing provider in the Midlands with over 45,000 homes.
