Kevin Wang
Architectural Designer

BAS | BArch | MArch

Kevin has contributed to several community-focused masterplan projects at CZWG including the multi-site Southend United Football Club relocation, and Brewery Square, an extensive mixed-use regeneration of the former Eldridge Pope Brewery by Dorchester South Railway Station. He led the coordination of the hybrid-planning delivery for the 4.5ha Crossharbour District Centre at the Isle of Dogs, London, that has dedicated over a third of its site to public and community use. Working closely with the GLA and local planning officers, placemaking and community groups, the District Centre proposal accommodates a new school, nursery, council services, cultural and community space, flexible pedestrian focused public square, with improved sustainable transport links and a variety of green space, in addition to a mix of commercial space, and circa 2,000 new homes.

Prior to joining CZWG, Kevin acquired a range of architectural experiences in New Zealand, Taiwan, and the United States. Kevin’s projects in New York benefited from close working relationships with the intended occupants, from collaborative development of single-family homes, to immersion of student and staff routines in school projects. These considerations exemplified the significance of continued engagements and communication to the success of the architecture. Kevin is committed to deliver projects that contribute to community benefits and healthy personal environments.

Kevin is passionate about uncovering unexpected crossovers and communication between architecture and the wider public. He co-founded the Oxford School of Architecture zine and won an inaugural Blank Space architectural Fairy Tales competition. Kevin is part of CZWG’s ‘Team Carbon’ sustainability initiative, and oversees the office public involvements in London Festival of Architecture (LFA) and student work experience programmes. He completed his architectural education at the University of Auckland (New Zealand), and obtained a MArch with Distinction at Oxford Brookes University.
