Sonja has a strong interest in the craftsmanship of design. Her keen eye for detail and knowledge and understanding of specifications and materials is a key asset to the practice.

Sonja has built up extensive experience across a range of sectors, scales and tenures and is experienced in BIM and the coordination of Revit models across multiple sites. She has worked as Project Architect on different scales of residential and mixed-use projects, including the small, bespoke, individual property The Stones in Greatstone, Kent; the high-end apartment building Randall Court, in Elephant and Castle, London; Aurelia Rathbone Market, the second phase of the £180 million Rathbone Market regeneration project in Canning Town; the award-winning Fortune Green Road mixed-use scheme Alfred Court in West Hampstead; and most recently, the third phase of the Barton Park Masterplan, Oxford, which delivers 207 new homes within a new garden city suburb and NHS Healthy New Town.

Sonja has a varied portfolio of non-residential projects, including one of the practice’s most high profile public regeneration project - the award winning Canada Water Library in Southwark. She has experience in mixed use urban centre schemes such as St Peter's Port, a hotel, retail and office complex in Ipswich; and student accommodation at The Studios on Holloway Road, London.

Sonja is a key member of CZWG's focus group driving our Social Value strategy. She also takes an active role in overseeing quality management procedures within the studio, supervising internal communications, as well as providing guidance and mentoring to students in training. Sonja studied architecture at Leeds Metropolitan University, completing her Diploma at Brighton University.
