HBBE panel discussion | Putting Biotechnologies into Practice in the Built Environment
CZWG Director Adam West will join Professor Cristina Nan from Eindhoven University of Technology and Adam Davies of Tŷ Syml Design Studio in a panel discussion on the challenges and opportunities of putting biotechnologies into Practice in the Built Environment.
The event takes place as part of the inaugural annual summit for the Hub for Biotechnology in the Built Environment (HBBE), a four-day event focusing across the HBBE’s pillars of research: Microbial Environments, Living Construction, Building Metabolism and Responsible Interactions.
The HBBE is a joint initiative between Newcastle University and Northumbria University funded by Research England. Its vision is to develop biotechnologies to create a new generation of Living Buildings which are responsive to their natural environment.
