Summer Outing | Kings Cross
What a glorious day for our annual summer outing! This year we stayed local, exploring the history and development of the Kings Cross masterplan. We met at the Kings Cross Visitor Centre, gathering around the development model before heading out on a walking tour of the neighbourhood. Afterwards, we enjoyed a fantastic Sri Lankan lunch at Hoppers before settling into canal-side drinks at Granary Square. Throughout the day, our Team Carbon challenged us to a sustainability quiz inspired by CZWG's commitments to Architect's Declare. Did you know that the Kings Cross Energy Centre housing boilers and a Combined Heat and Power (CHP) plant are 100% powered by renewable energy- electricity and Green Gas?
Thank you Rebecca Clarke for organising the day, and Jennie Harvey and Alexander Weedon for leading the quiz.
Shout out to our quiz winners Cara Edwards, Steffan Turner and Stephen Rigg!
